Canada Votes: Post mortem – Liberal Party
How the mighty have fallen. Once known as the “Big Red Machine” and Canada’s “natural governing party”, the Liberal Party is no more, in a manner of speaking. When faced with the number of seats that went to the Conservatives and the NDP, having around 30 seats in Parliament is virtually the same as having none. What is more, the party leader himself, Michael Ignatieff, has failed to retain his own seat in former Liberal stronghold Toronto, and has now resigned to return to teaching.
Canada Votes: Time to write Liberals’ obituary?
We have entered the home stretch: just one more week to go before Canadians head to the polls.
Canada Votes: This is why politicians can’t be trusted

Canada Votes: Layton rides new popularity wave, Iggy prepares for new career as televangelist
NDP leader Jack Layton is popular, yes, really popular. In Québec and Western Canada, his numbers are picking up speed. In the most recent poll, he is now Quebeckers’ first choice, while Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff has been sent to last place with only 9% of support.

Canada Votes: Please stay honest and don’t tell lies
Would you like to see a one-on-one debate between Stephen Harper and Michael Ignatieff? I would.
Canada Votes: Liberals and NDP ahead of Tories on policy announcements
So far, we have heard a bunch of promises and announcements from the main parties, but when it comes to common sense, more or less, both the Liberals and NDP are ahead of the Tories.
Canada Votes: Ignatieff’s education policy is only cosmetic
Nothing matters in today’s world more than education. Education is knowledge, and knowledge is today’s weapon of choice to tackle every challenge or problem we encounter.
Canada Votes: CBC airs Ignatieff speech in full, cuts off Harper
This should set some conspiracy theories about media bias in motion.
Which is it, Mr. Ignatieff: coalition or no coalition?
Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff appears indecisive. He can’t seem to state unequivocally whether he’d form a coalition with the NDP and Bloc or not.
